Guide to pregnancy

The Health and Safety Executive has published a new guide concerning pregnant workers and the responsibility of the employers. It is entitled "New and Expectant Mothers at Work: A Guide for Employers". This guide is obtainable from any HSE offices.

ACAS has a new national helpline which replaces eleven regional numbers and therefore it is now simpler to contact ACAS from anywhere in the country. Last year ACAS answered more than 750,000 enquiries from both employers and employees. Their new national number if 0845 747 4747.
